GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

Actually U_K, if I did want to have a good mook swarm backing up a theoretical boss fight against Dumah and Sariel, assuming that with the mass combat rules I'd use the largest possible size of unit, what would be the best form of Celestial/Divine Servant-type opponent to use, assuming that the theoretical party would be DR 15 to DR 17 in scaling?

-Arcane :)

Well (at the moment) I think 6d Punishment Angels would be a good fit - though they themselves would be more akin to DR 11-14. But you'll have to wait a while for more details since they won't show up til the second Epic Bestiary - Planes of Chaos.

Hey U_K! I was wondering, what are some of the abilities that a Dragon Purview Immortal can get in the 5e rules?

There are 6 selectable Boons per Purview and one sample Mythic Form per Purview.

Its honestly been 2 months or more since I looked at that chapter (finished it a while ago) so I am sketchy on the details. But off the top of my head there are things like the obvious: Dragon Breath; which stacks if you already can breathe like a dragon & Dragon Mount. To a boon where you can shift dragon's colours, breath weapons and ages (can't recall its name). I vaguely recall one called Dragon Tamer where dragons FEAR YOU and you deal double damage against Dragons...or something like that.

Hey U_K! I'm working on a more concrete write-up for one of my homebrew Immortals, known simply as the DOCTOR, or simply as the Man. (He's not a big fan of overly opulent names, unlike a lot of my homebrew Immortals) Of course, from his original media, you may know him better as the good Doctor W. D. Gaster, though he has a dramatically different M.O than his canon self. Specifically, he's using about a million or so Demiurges/small sentient universes to simulate a neural net-esque universe in near infinite permutations, in order to gather data to save the Omniverse by any means necessary. I was wondering, what Divine Rank range would an Immortal with that level of power/influence roughly be, and what Purview would be most thematically fitting for a LN borderline LE darkness/magitek style Immortal like him? I was roughly placing him at around DR 22, but I don't know if that seems too low or too high.

Hopefully everyone's having a great day!

Tricky to pin down since 'using' is an ambiguous concept - an Orc General might use 1 million Orcs in his Army for instance - but not necessarily be as personally powerful as all 1 million Orcs.

I would think at least DR 22 though.

Well you don't necessarily need to take a Purview - especially at the very high cosmic scale of things.

Purview Boons (by virtue of giving +2 to an Ability Score) are slightly better than Non-Purview Boons (which only give +1), but each Purview comes with a Drawback.

But maybe Craft (Science) and Darkness (Evil) would suit your immortal if they did take Purviews.

Hopefully everyone's having a great day!

Posted this in the wrong darn thread earlier (apologies),

...just wanted to say the Kickstarter got a shout out on the Master of Mazes Youtube channel. So go over and give them a like and subscribe. Special thanks to Carl for getting in contact with me and best wishes to him and his son on the channel.
